This mammy from Ratoath had Ireland's Got Talent judges in tears last night with her performance of Beyoncé's 'Listen'
TV3 TV3
LAST NIGHT, A 38-year-old mother of two from Ratoath in Co. Meath took to the stage on Ireland’s Got Talent. Ushered on by Lucy Kennedy’s words of support – “Go on the the Irish mammies!”, she was a ball of nerves.
She nearly broke into tears telling Louis Walsh that she couldn’t believe she was standing in front of him. She explained that she has always had trouble with confidence, which is why she hasn’t pursued singing until now.
When she told Louis she was about to sing ‘Listen’ by Beyoncé, he couldn’t help but grimace. “Big. That’s ambitious.”
Things couldn’t have gone better for Linda, who got the ‘Golden Buzzer’, which will send her straight to the semi-final of Ireland’s Got Talent. Along with last week’s Tallaght granny Evelyn Williams, who had everyone just as emotional when she sang ‘Send in The Clowns’.
